Legend has it that a small bell attached to your scoot, close to the ground, is both a good luck charm and supernatural protector for motorcyclists, catching ill-intentioned road spirits before they mess with rider and machine. Road Spirits (better known as Gremlins) jump aboard your passing motorcycle and crawl into the engine - causing all kinds of mechanical problems. The cavity of the Guardian Bell attracts Gremlins as a hiding place - but the constant ringing drives them crazy, causing them to lose their grip and fall to the ground. How else do ya think pot holes happen?
